On 25th January, 1915 the 2nd Rifle Brigade battalion of 25 Brigade, 8th Division moved into the front line at Fauquissart near Laventie in France where they remained until relieved on 28th January. The enemy were very active here and 2nd Rifle Brigade suffered a number of casualties, including Edward Martin who died from wounds on 27th January. |
